Roman Forum and Palatine opening hours
The Forum and Palatine area opens at 9:00. It closes at the same time as the Colosseum, and the last entry is one hour before closing. The ticket office closes 75 minutes before the Park, and access has no time slot.

The Park is closed on 25 December and 1 January, unless it decides otherwise. Entry is free on the first Sunday of each month, on 25 April, 2 June and 4 November.

The last Sunday of March and October moves every year
The change of timetable falls on the last Sunday of March and of October: 25 October 2026, 28 March 2027 and 31 October 2027. From 25 October 2026 to 28 February 2027 the Park closes at 16:30. The Park changes its hours three times a year, so check the official page.
SUPER sites and the Imperial Forums
Access to the SUPER sites starts at 9:30 and ends one hour before closing, according to the Park. The House of Augustus is closed on Mondays, and the House of Livia on the Palatine has been closed for restoration since 24 August 2026 with no reopening date.
The passage from the Park to the Imperial Forums is open every day from 9:00 to 18:00.
No time slot, but a time for the Colosseum
The Forum and Palatine area has no time slot, and with the 24-hour ticket you can choose before or after the Colosseum, on the same day or within 24 hours of your Colosseum time. With the Full Experience tickets you can go on the same day, the day before or the day after your Colosseum entry. The Forum Pass SUPER is valid for one day and is not used for the Colosseum.
Free days
On free days you cannot book: tickets are collected on the day at the ticket offices in Piazza del Colosseo and Largo della Salara Vecchia, in order of arrival. The Farnese Aviaries, the Nymphaeum of the Rain, the Temple of Romulus, the Curia Iulia and all the SUPER sites are not included, and the Forum Pass SUPER cannot be used.
The next free days after 23 October 2026 are Sunday 1 November, Wednesday 4 November, Sunday 6 December 2026 and Sunday 3 January 2027.
The Domus Aurea is separate
The Domus Aurea is not included in the Colosseum, Forum and Palatine ticket. It opens on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with visits every 15 minutes from 9:00 to 16:30 (last entry 15:30), and it is closed on the first Sunday of the month. Its ticket costs 18 € (26 € with the educational route and virtual reality).
